On Computers: With the development of science and technology, computers have been playing an increasingly important role in people’s life./ Nowadays, people cannot imagine the world without computers.( … what the world would be like without computers) It has brought a lot of convenience to…(our work and study)./ It has brought us a lot of benefits. By computers, we can…; raise one’s work efficiency;

　　Computers also create/cause some serious problems as well: computer crimes/ criminals; hackers steal important information; spread computer virus; pollute people’s/children’s mind.

　　Despite all these advantages, computers also bring us some troubles. For example…

　　We should not become the slave of it but its master.

　　6. Hobbies: make people feel relaxed and cheerful; widen people’s view and help them know more; help people to understand the world, to comprehend life philosophically

　　7. Possible reasons why so many people enroll in the Graduate Entrance Exam:

　　(1) It stems from employment pressure, because most employers nowadays demand advanced degrees;

　　(2) A bachelor's degree is no longer evaluated as a sufficient qualification to ensure a decent job;

　　(3) Some people find their knowledge inadequate to meet the demand of this ever-changing world;

　　(4) For some people, pursuing a graduate degree is a step toward fulfilling a dream once set aside;

　　(5) Some enroll to acquire skills necessary to become more effective in their chosen fields;

　　(6) Some others only follow the suit with no specific purpose.

　　In my view, we have to think carefully before we make the decision to apply for graduate schools. Can graduate schools offer me what I want to learn? Do I need practical work experience or theoretical knowledge? These questions need to be answered before we make the final decision.

　　8. On Tourism/Travel

　　Nowadays, more and more people travel to other places and even other countries just for the sake of pleasure and sightseeing.

　　Reasons: (1) As people are becoming increasingly wealthier, they can afford to travel:

　　(2) People can broaden their horizons through visiting different places.

　　(3) Travel is good for health. When we are traveling, we get exercise and fresh air.

　　Advantages: Tourism brings China a lot of good. To begin with, it enables Chinese to know about outside world and contribute to international friendship and mutual understanding, More importantly, it is profitable to China because tourism greatly encourages foreign investment in China.

　　9 On Increased College Enrollment

　　Advantages: (1)provide more opportunities for college education;

　　(2) lessen the worries of parents;

　　(3) lessen pressure on high-school graduates;

　　(4) raise the educational level of the nation;

　　(5) produce more students with specialized .knowledge

　　Potential problems: (1) crowded dormitories and dining-halls;

　　(2)negative effects on teaching quality;

　　(3) increased competition in the job market;

　　(4)greater financial burden on some parents;

　　(5) Heavier burden on teachers;

　　10. On Interpersonal Relations

　　They are important because: (1) humans are social beings, so we need to contact others;

　　(2) we can get help from other people;

　　(3) it is also an enjoyment to help others

　　How to cultivate harmonious relations:

　　(1) we need to make sacrifices sometimes;

　　(2) everyone in the society has to know we are interdependent, not totally independent.
