　　Sporting activities are essentially modified forms of

　　本句的主語是 Their improved intelligence，intelligence表示“智力，智能”時是不可數(shù)名詞，謂語動詞要用單數(shù)。

　　10. farming -> hunting

　　根據(jù)上下文，這里說的是狩獵。
