　�。畚觯� o‘clock所表達的時間是正點，如果要表達的時間是幾點幾分或差幾分幾點都不能用o‘clock.��

　　once ��

　�。壅`］ Please come and see me once.��

　�。壅�］ Please come and see me one day.��

　　［析］ once用來談論過去的事情，而不能談論未來。如果要談及未來要用one day, some time等。��

　�。壅`］ I met him one time when I was a student.��

　�。壅�］ I met him once when I was a student.��

　�。畚觯� 英語中一次應用once而不用one time，二次要用twice而不用two times.��

　　one ��

　�。壅`］ My grandfather wants to live for hundred years.��

　�。壅�］ My grandfather wants to live for one hundred years.��

　�。壅`］ He threw away the old dictionary and wanted to buy new one.��

　　［正］ He threw away the old dictionary and wanted to buy a new one.��

　�。壅`］ His dog is bigger than my one.��

　�。壅�］ His dog is bigger than mine.��

　�。畚觯� 一般物主代詞之后不用one，除非one前有修飾詞，如my old one， 否則要用名詞性物主代詞。��

　�。壅`］ One of the teacher is in the office.��

　　［誤］ One of the teachers are in the office.��

　�。壅�］ One of the teachers is in the office.��

　�。畚觯� One是句子的主語，其謂語動詞應用單數，而of后面的名詞要用復數名詞。��

　　［誤］ One third of the books is sent to the students.��

　�。壅�］ One third of the books are sent to the students.��

　�。畚觯� 幾分之幾或百分之幾這一結構用在主語位置，其謂語動詞要與of后面的名詞一致，如Two thirds of the work is done.��

　　open ��

　�。壅`］ Are the banks opened today?��

　　［正］ Are the banks open today?��

　�。畚觯� 要注意open即可用作動詞、名詞，還可以用作形容詞，而close則不同。請看： Are the banks closed today?這一句是正確的。��

　�。壅`］ He doesn‘t drink and smoke.��

　　［正］ He doesn‘t drink or smoke.��

　�。畚觯� 否定句中的并列連詞要用or而不用and.��

　�。壅`］ He neither drinks or smokes.��

　�。壅�］ He neither drinks nor smokes.��
