　　Would you please make a brief introduction about yourself?

　　請(qǐng)您簡(jiǎn)單自我介紹一下好嗎?

　　Ok. My name is Aaron Craft. I’m from Texas of America. I’m 30 years old. I’ve been in Asia for 6years, three years in Japan and three years in China. I came to China in 2008, right after the Olympic Games. I like China.

　　好的。我叫Aaron Craft，來(lái)自美國(guó)德克薩斯州，今年30歲。我在亞洲生活了6年來(lái)，三年在日本，三年在中國(guó)。我2008年到中國(guó)，恰巧在奧運(yùn)會(huì)之后(笑)。我很喜歡中國(guó)。

　　As you know, today is very important for many Chinese college students, because of the CET4& CET6. What do you know about these tests?

　　相信您也聽說(shuō)了，今天對(duì)于很多中國(guó)大學(xué)生來(lái)說(shuō)十分重要。英語(yǔ)的四級(jí)六級(jí)考試就在今天。您對(duì)這些考試了解嗎?

　　As far as I know, these two tests are extremely important for the students, and pass them or not would greatly influence their future. In many cases, this is the very premise of job hunting. I used to be a teacher in Japan, where I taught TOEIC and TOFEL.

　　據(jù)我所知四六級(jí)考試對(duì)于中國(guó)大學(xué)生來(lái)說(shuō)十分重要，過(guò)還是不過(guò)對(duì)他們的未來(lái)影響深遠(yuǎn)，而且很多情況下通過(guò)這項(xiàng)考試是未來(lái)就業(yè)的基本前提。我以前在日本時(shí)曾經(jīng)輔導(dǎo)過(guò)日本學(xué)生備考托福和托業(yè)考試。

　　Is there any similar language test back in your country? A College Spanish Test for example?

　　在您的國(guó)家有沒(méi)有類似的語(yǔ)言等級(jí)考試呢?比如說(shuō)西班牙語(yǔ)四級(jí)。

　　Yeah, but I think it’s quite different from Asia. They learn it as a tool.

　　是的，但是美國(guó)和亞洲國(guó)家相比并沒(méi)有十分重視第二外語(yǔ)的學(xué)習(xí)，美國(guó)人學(xué)習(xí)語(yǔ)言僅僅是作為一種交流工具罷了。

　　How did you help your students prepare for tests?

　　您是怎么輔導(dǎo)學(xué)生準(zhǔn)備考試的呢?

　　My advice was that they live with it, eat with it, and sleep with it. I believe that’s the best way.

　　我的意見是，在平時(shí)的生活中盡量去使用英語(yǔ)，吃飯睡覺(jué)這些基本的生活內(nèi)容都與英語(yǔ)掛鉤，我覺(jué)得這是最佳方式。

　　Many students find fast reading is really difficult. What would you say to these students?

　　很多學(xué)生反應(yīng)快速閱讀部分非常難，您能給學(xué)生們一些建議嗎?

　　Well, according to my habit, I believe to seize the gist and the keywords are quite important. Given that time limitation, I advice students to skim and scan, mark the keywords, read the questions then check them out.

　　對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)，我的閱讀習(xí)慣告訴我抓關(guān)鍵詞十分重要。在讀這樣的文章時(shí)候因?yàn)闀r(shí)間非常的有限，我建議考生從頭到尾通讀一遍，然后標(biāo)出關(guān)鍵詞，再對(duì)應(yīng)下面的問(wèn)題回頭找相關(guān)的細(xì)節(jié)信息。

　　You have done the writing part, right?

　　您做過(guò)四六級(jí)的作文題對(duì)嗎?

　　That’s right. I think for Chinese students it’s not an easy job to compose on this topic. I suggest they should do some practice first before the test, exercises in previous years are great choices.

　　對(duì)。我覺(jué)得對(duì)于中國(guó)學(xué)生來(lái)說(shuō)這樣的話題其實(shí)有一定難度，很考驗(yàn)語(yǔ)言組織能力。學(xué)生們可以多參考往年考過(guò)的話題，作為練筆，效果很不錯(cuò)。

　　Hypothetically, you are supposed to take part in as really important test, and you got really nervous. What would you do to relax yourself?

　　假設(shè)您也要參加一個(gè)非常重要的考試，并且你很緊張。你會(huì)怎樣緩解考試壓力呢?

　　I stop drinking coffee, definitely. Then I do some sports. Maybe play guitar, and take deep breaths.

　　首先我會(huì)停止喝咖啡(笑)，然后做一些運(yùn)動(dòng)，彈彈吉他，做做深呼吸。

　　Would please given those who are going to have CET6 some advice? Since that is more difficult than CET 4.

　　請(qǐng)您給即將參加六級(jí)考試的學(xué)生支支招，因?yàn)榱��?jí)比四級(jí)還要難一些。

　　In terms of writing ?(yeah it’s OK)I advice students to take a 10-minutes writing practice , it helps. And I used to prepare for GRE, and vocabulary is really a big problem, even for a native speaker like me. I spent half an hour every day to type passages,. It helps to both writing and vocabulary.

　　我還是針對(duì)寫作模塊給一些建議吧。我建議學(xué)生在考前花上十分鐘練練手感，對(duì)考試幫助會(huì)很大。另外，我以前考過(guò)GRE，詞匯問(wèn)題也是一個(gè)大問(wèn)題，即使是對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)也非常難。我每天會(huì)花半個(gè)小時(shí)在往電腦上輸入文章上，既練文章又練單詞。

　　How do arrange the limited time?

　　你是怎么安排有限的考試時(shí)間的呢?

　　That’s actually a good question. I do it from the smaller to the bigger, from short passage to long passages. It’s like doing warming up.

　　這個(gè)問(wèn)題問(wèn)得好。針對(duì)時(shí)間安排問(wèn)題，我建議從小到大，先看短段落再看長(zhǎng)段落。閱讀題是需要熱身的，這樣其實(shí)是變相的熱身，效果不錯(cuò)。

　　I got a tough question for you. If you are the test organizer, what would you do to make the tests better serve the purpose of language evaluation.

　　這里有個(gè)相對(duì)較難的問(wèn)題。如果你是考試組織者，你會(huì)對(duì)這項(xiàng)考試做出什么改良調(diào)整呢?

　　Wow, this is a tough one. I guess I wound pay more attention to speaking and listening, instead of dong and writing.

　　哇，這個(gè)真難回答。要是我的話我會(huì)加大口語(yǔ)聽力考查，淡化閱讀和寫作，畢竟語(yǔ)言交流是最重要的。
