主題、主旨類選擇題

　　這類題包括確定短文的主題(topic or main point)、文章的大意(main idea)、題目(title)等，區(qū)別主要信息與次要信息。

　　在測(cè)試中，有些題目是根據(jù)文章中的事實(shí)和細(xì)節(jié)而設(shè)計(jì)的，對(duì)閱讀理解來(lái)說(shuō)，理解字面意義是最起碼的要求，也就是說(shuō)起碼應(yīng)該理解文字已明確表達(dá)的信息，當(dāng)然，這里也需要運(yùn)用綜合和判斷的能力。此類題的目的在于考察考生對(duì)組成文章的主體部分的理解程度。這類問(wèn)獍�括询问�?who)、物(what)、時(shí)間(when)、地點(diǎn)(where)、文中的數(shù)據(jù)(data)、事情發(fā)生的原因和結(jié)果(cause and effect)等。常見的問(wèn)題形式有:

　　推論類型選擇題
　　推論、推理類型題要求考生閱讀時(shí)，把句子水平的閱讀理解提高到語(yǔ)篇水平的閱讀理解，包括要求考生在宏觀上理解上下文的邏輯關(guān)系、通過(guò)分析判斷歸納總結(jié)并概括出合理的結(jié)論、理解作者的態(tài)度、根據(jù)文中內(nèi)容并利用已有的知識(shí)來(lái)進(jìn)行合理的預(yù)測(cè)與推斷。即在考試中要能在理解原文直接陳述觀點(diǎn)的基礎(chǔ)上，領(lǐng)悟作者的言外之意(implication or implied meaning)，進(jìn)行合乎邏輯的推理(making logical inference)，得出一個(gè)合理的結(jié)論。所謂合理，是指準(zhǔn)確地從原文中推理，而不是說(shuō)讀者主觀認(rèn)為的合理。

　　詞匯理解選擇題
　　詞匯是語(yǔ)言的建筑材料，這類試題主要測(cè)試考生利用上下文猜測(cè)生詞的詞義或確定常用詞匯在特定語(yǔ)言環(huán)境中確切含義的能力。出題對(duì)象一般為文中的關(guān)鍵詞語(yǔ)，如生詞、多義詞、復(fù)雜句式等。
