　　A: You should not have criticize your son in front of his friends.

　　你不應(yīng)該當(dāng)著你兒子的朋友的面批評(píng)他。

　　B: Why? He did something wrong.

　　為什么?他做錯(cuò)事情了呀。

　　A: I know. But at that time your blame is rubbing salt into his wounds.

　　我知道，但是你的批評(píng)是火上加油。

　　A: I only wanted to help him.

　　我只想幫助他。

　　B: But it is not the right time.

　　但是時(shí)機(jī)不對(duì)。

　　第一、 地道表達(dá)

　　1. 習(xí)慣用語(yǔ)

　　rub salt into one’s wounds

　　2. 解詞釋義

　　該習(xí)語(yǔ)的字面意思是“往傷口上撒鹽”，引申為“火上加油”“雪上加霜”““加深某人的創(chuàng)傷”等意思。 其英文解釋為：to make a difficult situation even worse for someone。

　　e.g.He came just at the right time, neither too early nor too late.

　　他來(lái)的正好，既不早也不晚。

　　e.g.He has the faculty of saying the right thing at the right time.

　　他有在恰當(dāng)?shù)臅r(shí)候說(shuō)恰當(dāng)?shù)脑挼牟胖恰?/P>

　　e.g.This snow has come at the right time.

　　這場(chǎng)雪很及時(shí)。

　　e.g.The call came at the right time for Victor.

　　這個(gè)任命的時(shí)間對(duì)維克托而言是恰到好處。

　　Sb should not have done something.

　　(1)使用情境

　　在描述某人在過(guò)去不應(yīng)該做的事情而做了，不應(yīng)該發(fā)生的事情而發(fā)生了的時(shí)候，可以用這個(gè)句型。
